Both Meg and her mother Kate believed he solved the question of humanity’s existence and theorized that he was into another world. During the night, Meg’s younger brother Charles Wallace welcomes Mrs. Whatsit, a red-haired stranger in an extravagant white dress, into the Murry family house. Mrs. Whatsit claims that the Tesseract, a type of space-travel Alex was working on, is real and leaves soon after. “Many people are descending on the Greek island of Kalokairi, specifically to the rustic resort hotel called the Villa Donna, owned and operated by single mother Donna Sheridan, for the wedding of Donna’s twenty year old daughter Sophie to her boyfriend Sky. Three of the people who are coming to the wedding but that Donna doesn’t know are coming are architect Sam Carmichael, banker Harry Bright and sailor Bill Andersson, none of who Donna has seen in over twenty years. Unknown to her, Sophie invited the three since she, who gleaned as much from secretly reading Donna’s diary, knows that the three were men involved in her mother’s life when she was conceived and thus surmises that one of them must be her father. She wants that man to walk her down the aisle and give her away. With help from her bridesmaids Lisa and Ali, Sophie tries to figure out which is her father. When Donna sees the three men, she, with the help of her best friends and former singing partners Rosie Mulligan and Tanya Wilkinson, also tries to figure out what she will do with these three. Meanwhile, the men, who didn’t know each other or of each other before arriving on the island, quickly surmise the reason why they were invited, each believing he is indeed Sophie’s father. As complications ensue from the misunderstandings, Sophie and Sky’s wedding and relationship may be jeopardized, while, finding what is truly in their hearts, many may discover the course of true love.” – IMDB.

Walt Disney Pictures produced this ambitious, animated tale of sorcery and swordfighting. Taran (voice of Grant Bardsley), is an assistant to Dallben (voice of Freddie Jones), a pigkeeper in the mythical land of Prydain. Taran longs to be a knight, and he’s given his chance to live out his dream when he is sent out in search of a magical black cauldron which can either be a powerful instrument of good or a bottomless fount of evil, depending entirely upon who should find it. However, Taran is not the only one in search of this talisman — the Horned King (voice of John Hurt) wants the cauldron to shore up his sinister powers and raise an army of the dead, and with the help of the all-seeing pig Hen-Wren, the wicked one may make his hideous plans a reality. The Black Cauldron had the distinction of being the first animated feature from Disney to receive a PG rating from the MPAA, due to some frightening scenes of black magic. ~ Rottentomatoes.

Big Wild

As Big Wild, producer Jackson Stell crafts lush soundscapes and sweeping melodies that challenge the status quo of electronic music. Formerly a hip-hop beat producer, known as J Beatz, in his native Massachusetts, Stell switched creative lanes following a life-altering trip to Big Sur, California. He adopted influences from the state’s natural glory and open spaces to create the atmospheric and wide-spanning Big Wild sound, which today traverses electronic, indie, pop and beyond. Since officially launching in 2012, Big Wild has become one of the fastest-rising dance/electronic artists in recent years. He first broke out in April 2015 with the incendiary track “Aftergold” (Foreign Family Collective), which topped the Spotify Global Viral Chart upon release. He followed the success of “Aftergold” with his debut EP, Invincible, in February 2017 (Foreign Family Collective). As the next progression, in February 2019 Big Wild will release his debut album, Superdream, on Counter Records. The new album sees Stell pushing the boundaries as a producer and artist like never before, as he serves as the primary lyricist, singer and songwriter for the first time ever. Each song is diverse in sound and scope and represents the full spectrum of emotions and experiences that are central to the essence of being: in one moment, you’re dancing out of your seat, only to find yourself in joyful tears seconds later. The album title, thus, reflects this amalgamation: a super dream combining all of life’s curious, inspiring occasions. The album’s first two lead singles, “Joypunks” and “Maker,” are out now, with additional tracks to be released in the coming months. “The album was inspired by a need to create music that was a greater reflection of who I am now,” Stell says of Superdream. “This led me to feature my voice and songwriting as the main focus for the first time ever. I wanted to create a personal record that people could relate to using my own life experiences. When I listen to Superdream, it feels more like me than any of my other music.” As a performer, Big Wild is one of the most progressive live acts on the electronic circuit today. His live show has him switching between multiple instruments (drum pads, synths, keyboards & live vocals) to deliver unique energetic performances every night. Coinciding with the release of Superdream, Big Wild will kick off a 17-date 2019 headlining tour across the US, which will bring the Superdream album experience to the stage via a brand-new live show.

“It’s May 28, 1976, the last day of the academic year at Lee High School. Many of the kids are skipping classes, smoking weed and thinking about the big keg party for the senior students at Kevin Pickford’s house tonight, as his unwitting parents are going to be away for the evening. High on the mind of star football quarterback Randall “Pink” Floyd is the pledge the coach wants all the returning players to sign vowing that they won’t do drugs or drink during the summer break so as not to jeopardize their upcoming supposed championship season. Pink is the only player who has not yet signed, he who is contemplating not if only because he feels it would impinge upon his individual rights. Today is also the traditional hazing day, where seniors traumatize the freshmen. Amongst all the freshmen, Mitch Kramer is the biggest target if only because of a not so innocent request by his popular upperclassman sister, Jodi Kramer, to her male classmates. These thoughts and activities continue as day turns into night and as the keg party doesn’t end up quite as planned, although the perspective may change as the activities progress.” – IMDB.
